The rules for using SVKM Connect.
Agreement
By creating an account or using SVKM Connect you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. The service
What we are building.
SVKM Connect is a community platform that lets verified SVKM campus members create profiles, find classmates, and send connection requests. We provide the platform but are not responsible for offline interactions between members.
2. Eligibility
Who can be here.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use SVKM Connect.
- You must be a current student or alumni-affiliated member of an SVKM institution listed on the platform.
- You must provide accurate, honest information about yourself — including your college, course, year, and age.
We may remove members who cannot be verified or who provide false information.
3. Your account
You hold the keys.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for everything done through your account. If you believe your account is compromised, contact us (section 10).
4. Acceptable use
The short version: be decent.
You agree not to:
- Create fake profiles, misrepresent yourself, or pretend to be someone else.
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or otherwise harm another member.
- Post content that is illegal, hateful, discriminatory, or sexual in nature.
- Use the platform to solicit minors or engage in any conduct involving anyone under 18.
- Scrape, spam, or send unsolicited commercial messages (marketing, scam links, etc.).
- Attempt to access other users' accounts, the backend database, or the site's infrastructure.
- Share your credentials or access to the platform with people who are not eligible SVKM members.
Breaching these rules can result in your account being suspended or permanently removed.
5. Connections and consent
Two yeses, please.
Connection requests should always be respectful. A request is only a match when both sides choose to connect. Do not misuse another member's profile details or social handles outside of their consent. If you ever feel unsafe, stop contact and report the member through the available reporting channels.
6. Demo and bot profiles
So nobody is misled.
SVKM Connect ships with generated demo profiles so the live matches panel is not empty while a branch is still small. They are always labelled BOT in the interface, they never message you, and they do not represent real students. Do not attempt to contact anyone believing a demo profile to be a real person.
7. Content you post
It stays yours.
Your profile remains yours. By publishing it on SVKM Connect you give us a limited license to display it within the community so the platform can function. We do not claim ownership of your content.
8. Intellectual property
Names stay with their owners.
The SVKM Connect name, logo, and site design belong to the platform. You may not reuse them without permission. College names and logos remain the property of their respective institutions.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Provided as-is.
The platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee specific matches, outcomes, or that a connection will lead to any particular relationship.
10. Limitation of liability
A reasonable boundary.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SVKM Connect is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for your offline interactions with other members. We are not a dating agency and take no responsibility for relationships that develop outside the platform.
11. Contact & deletion
One inbox, real replies.
For account issues, reporting another member, or requesting deletion of your account and data, contact panchalrohan005@gmail.com.
12. Changes to these terms
The date at the top tells you when.
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
