Who can join SVKM Connect?
Verified students of the SVKM campus aged 18 and over, across Mithibai, NMIMS, NM Commerce, UPG, SBMP, DJSCE and JCL. You sign up with your own email and pick your college, course and year — which is what makes the matching specific instead of random.
How are live matches decided?
Every profile is checked each time you load the panel. The strict criteria are: same college, same course, any year, and a complementary, non-binary, open or unspecified gender. Students in your own year are listed first. If the panel is thin, clearly-labelled campus bots top it up so you can still see how the feature works.
What happens after I send a crush ping?
The ping is saved to your list straight away. If they send one back, you can accept the connection and a private chat unlocks for the two of you. Only accepted connections can message each other.
Why are some profiles marked BOT?
Those are demo and test accounts used to demonstrate the matching and chat flow before the community fills up. They are badged BOT everywhere they appear so they’re never mistaken for a real student, and they never appear in a chat conversation coach.
Is it free?
Yes. Creating an account, viewing live matches, sending pings and chatting with accepted connections are all free.
